Joe Elliot is a well known name in the music world mostly as the lead singer of British rock band Def Leppard. The band is best known for the songs like Pour Some Sugar on Me and Love Bites. He is originally from England but currently resides in Stepaside, Dublin, Ireland. He also has a house in Carmel, California in US. Born on August 1, 1959 in Sheffield, South Yorkshire in England, he was named Joseph Thomas Elliot as the time of birth. He attended King Edward VII School. Joe had eager interest in music from his early days. He had even imagined a band named Deaf Leopard.

There’s an interesting story about his entry to the music. Sometimes meeting some people is destined. In November 1977, he missed his bus to school and happened to meet Pete Willis. Willis was in a local teenage band Atomic Mass. Later he met the other band members, impressed them, joined the band as lead vocalist and renamed the band to Def Leppard. Apart from Def Leppard he got himself involved in other sideline projects too. Joe was the vocalist for the Mott the Hoppie cover band Down ‘n’ Outz for their album My Generation Vol. 1. He has a memorable experience of accompanying Queen guitarist Brian May and guitarist Slash, performing Tie your Mother Down at the Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert in 1992. Besides, he has collaborated in the projects like solo album by The Rolling Stone’s guitarist Ronnie Wood, “Slide on This”, Those Faces” by Lori Spree, “Tattoos & Alibis” by Ricky Warwick, The Almighty and many more. Recently Joe has formed a group, with most recognized performers of rock music, Rock n Roll All Stars. This King of Chaos include GNR’s Duff McKagan, Matt Sorum and Gilby Clarke along with Steve Stevens of Billy Idd’s band and Vekvet Revolver and Loaded as well as Deep Purple’s Glenn Huges and Skid Row former member Sebastian  Batch. They toured the world in 2012 and have released their cover song Never Before. They have planned to release the series of EPs featuring various genres of music.
